My Tree and I

My tree and I, we love each other, we do.
My tree and I, I hug her and feel hugged, I do.
My tree and I, she is tall and sturdy, she supports me, she does.
My tree and I, we stand together, basking in the sunshine, we do.
My tree and I, we stand together, through the chill of winter and the absence of her leaves, we do.
My tree and I, we awaken together when the rain gently falls and opens the buds on her branches, we do.
My tree and I, bend and sway with the breeze off the ocean, we do.
My tree and I, hold tight to each other, when the earth shakes and the ground breaks and people run from their homes, we do.
My tree and I, stay close through the nights, holding fast to our dreams, we do.
My tree and I, dance through the days, laughing and singing together, we do.
My tree and I, we love each other, we do, I do, she does, we do.
