Pondering love near Valentine's Day

 A lot of people have negative thoughts and feelings about Valentine's Day. I don't. To me it is a day to remind us to love one another. And do we ever need that reminder now with all the hatred, cruelty and violence in our world.

As a teacher of mine (Beth Lapides) says, "Why be against the looove holiday?" For me it is a day for everyone, not just couples. Forget about all the hype  and pressure from the media to do and say just the right thing and as another teacher of mine says, "Be love". Be love, be loving, wear your heart on your sleeve, open your heart. Don't be afraid to say, "I love you" in your way. I love you all my blog followers. I wish you love, not just on Valentine's Day, but every day.

As a young friend of mine who, before he died, left this wish for the world, "Remember just to love."
